Principal's Message

Welcome to St. Anthony’s Catholic Primary School, Picton.

I am thrilled to extend a heartfelt welcome to you and your family on behalf of our school community, which includes our dedicated parish priest, Fr. Peter Tien.

We begin by acknowledging the original Aboriginal landowners, paying our respects to past, present, and future local Elders. St. Anthony’s Catholic Primary School, founded in 1880 boasts a rich and storied history within the Wollondilly community. Our traditions, values, and beliefs are deeply rooted in the inspiring charism of St. Mary of the Cross MacKillop and the Sisters of St. Joseph.

Our school's vision and our motto serve as beacons of our unwavering commitment to faith, learning, and the development of resilient, respectful, and persistent students. If you'd like to learn more about us, please explore our About Us section.

At the heart of our school community lies a deep concern for the wellbeing of our students, staff, and parents. We tirelessly strive to cultivate a learning environment founded on mutual respect, understanding, tolerance, and forgiveness, all of which can be explored further in our What We Offer section.

We take immense pride at St. Anthony’s Catholic Primary School in our steadfast commitment to nurturing meaningful relationships, and the exceptional quality of education we provide. Our school is a place where our students, staff, and parents embody and live out the core values of respect, responsibility, faith, learning, community, and celebration, values that are integral to our identity.

As an integral part of the St. Anthony’s Catholic Parishes, we are grateful for the guidance of Fr. Peter, and are fortunate to have a parent and grandparent community that is deeply committed to making a positive impact on the life of our school.

At St. Anthony’s, we set high expectations and take pride in offering a learning environment where every student feels happy, safe, valued, and genuinely loves their school. Explore more about our approach to Learning and Teaching.
